Onto other things...

So almost a month has gone by since my last blog, I figured by now that I'd have something new to report.  Maybe I'd lost a few pounds, maybe I'd have started back the gym, maybe I'd have gone on one of the many diets that I keep going on, but NO, nope, naught...absolutely nothing new in that regard.

However, I have been (somewhat, sometimes) consumed with depression about that and other things in my life.  But to pass my time I've been trying to study for exams that come up in December, I've been helping a friend with a costume for Carnival next year (one of the only bands that let you design your own costume...way cheaper of course) and I've recently started (like this week only) reading the book "Eat, Pray, Love"...yes I saw the movie...but I'm glad I bought the book...cause as these things go...its definitely 10 times better than the movie (and I'm only on pg 56 of 445).  On that note, I have also started my own book..{actually since May of this year}..a Mills and Boons-wannabe and I just have 200 pages to write...I'm on page 139...and if there's one thing I have to say about writing......it is that Writers deserve the recognition (and money for those who make it big) that they get when they write a Bestseller.  Writing a book, even if it is for a silly-childhood-dream-that-you-want-to-make-come-true-just-for-the-sake-of-it reason, is HARD as hell.  Unless you eat, dream and sleep writing and could spit out a 100 pgs in a day, of course.

But of course, I haven't told more than say 3 okay, maybe 5 people at the moment.  Partly because I want it to be a surprise if I do get a contract to have it published and partly because I don't want to say that I am doing this and then "zilch" happens with it.  So shhhhhhh  (not that I have a big following anyway... who will leak this) ;)  But other than this and my 5 yr old daughter's everyday, new antics and expressions...writing this book has been sort of therapy for me recently.  It's totally fiction, totally, but it offers a minute escape out of reality just the way actually reading a Mills and Boons use to do it for me.

So there it is...my update! Enjoy!
